Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! It's a real honor to have this interview opportunity today. I hope I can do well—and I'm confident I will. Allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is ___, I'm 19 years old, born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. I’m now a sophomore majoring in civil engineering. I've invested a lot of effort into my studies, and although I've only passed CET-4 so far, I believe I can achieve more in the future.
Becoming an engineer has always been a long-cherished dream of mine, and I'm eager to find a role where I can fully apply my skills. The Nanjing Youth Olympic Games is a major event for the city in recent years. When I started university last year, I set a goal for myself to be part of it—and the best way to get involved is by serving as a volunteer. That’s exactly why I’m here today, competing for this position. I want to make a genuine contribution to the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. That’s all. Thank you for giving me this chance.

Hello, nice to meet you. My name is xxx. I’m a sophomore studying at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology. My hobbies range from solo activities to group ones—such as XXX, XXX, XXX, and XXX.
The main reason I’m applying to be a volunteer for the 2008 Olympics is that I believe this will be an unforgettable and extraordinary experience in my life. It’s the first time the Olympic Games are being held in China, and for every Chinese person, this is a very important and memorable moment. Besides, the Olympics will take place in Beijing. As a Beijing resident, I feel incredibly proud. Even though I’m still a student, I feel I must actively contribute to the Games. Countless people want to be Olympic volunteers but don’t get the chance.
I’m very fortunate to be a student right now, with the opportunity to work for the Olympics. My heart tells me I cannot let this great opportunity slip away. I have a geographic advantage: I live in Beijing and study in Beijing. I see no reason to give up this chance to become an Olympic volunteer. Furthermore, I can learn and grow in many ways—such as improving my language skills, communication skills, social abilities, and emergency response capabilities. Of course, I might even get to meet my dream sports idols—XXX, XXX, and XXX.
All in all, this experience will have a significant impact on my future life, and I am full of confidence.
