Good morning.

My name is Chen Guangwen, and I will be graduating from Qingdao Technological University in July 2009. My major is Industrial Engineering—a discipline that, as it turns out, profoundly influences how I approach nearly every aspect of life.
This past summer, an internship at Foxconn provided a practical laboratory for applying classroom theories. It was more than just honing technical skills; it was an intensive learning experience in communication, collaboration, and the meticulous work ethic that no textbook can fully convey. That experience, more than any lecture, underscored what industrial engineering truly means in real-world practice.
Interestingly, the core principles of industrial engineering—efficiency, optimization, systematic planning—are seamlessly integrated into my daily routines. Time management becomes a natural habit, not a burden. Every task follows a plan, every plan has a clear purpose, and the balance between study and leisure is intentionally maintained rather than left to chance. After all, university life itself is a system worth engineering with the same level of care and precision.
